Supplements and Medicine: Which is better?

• Dietary supplements are safer because phytotherapy has a much longer history (and more experience) than synthetic drugs

• Chemicals are more toxic than herbs

• Herbs have a lesser impact than synthetics, but they have a broader spectrum of effects

• Continuous mutations occur in microorganisms (including viruses, bacteria, and fungi), and drug-resistant forms emerge; pharmaceuticals are unable to keep up behind mutations

• Medications usually act in the upper intestines, and dietary supplements slowly release active substances working from the mouth to the rectum

• Comparing phytoproducts to synthetics is not useful; each method has its own positives and negatives

Dietary supplements are becoming increasingly popular as people move toward a more natural lifestyle.

While medicines cure, dietary supplements such as ‘calcium’ improve the quality of life.

You can't take medicine very often, whereas you can with dietary supplements as they act as a type of food.
