Myth number 4: Dietary Supplements are useless because the body cannot absorb them.

🍒There is a perception that many vitamins and minerals do not get absorbed and for that reason they are a waste of money. However, a group of researchers published in a credible scientific journal “Nutrients” (2017/9 (12)) an article on the “Contribution of biological active additives to the nutritional value of adults”. Scientists compared the vitamin (A, C, E, D, C, folic acid, group B) and mineral levels (calcium, magnesium, iron, selenium, zinc, phosphorus, copper) on people in different age groups. People in one group were not using Dietary Supplements and they were receiving all nutrients from food, and in the other one, they were receiving dietary Supplements with their food.

🍒The conclusion showed that the use of Dietary Supplements increased the amount of beneficial nutrients in the body, which is important for preventing diseases and increasing life expectancy. Scientists noted that it is especially important to use Dietary Supplements in older age groups (over 70 years old), since their nutritional indicators are worse than in young and middle age.

❗️Myth number 5: All dietary supplements are synthetic and harmful for your health.

🍒Various technological methods can be used in the production of dietary supplements: extraction, drying, fermentation, grinding, chemical synthesis, etc. Natural biologically active supplements are absorbed better than chemically synthesized ones because the “natural” product can contain the “correct” molecules of the same vitamin rather than its copies in the form of isomers that do not operate under the conditions of the body.

🍒Therefore, preference should be given to natural Dietary Supplements. The use of dietary supplements in therapeutic doses as prescribed by a physician is safe for your health, even if they are synthetic.
